After announcing her retirement from MMA, Bethe Correia considers competing in 'bare-knuckle boxing'

Brazilian, however, says she is focused on her 'Team Correia' academy at the moment

Former challenger for the UFC bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg), Bethe Correia announced her retirement from MMA in October 2021, after being defeated by Karol Rosa in the judges' decision. Despite this, the Brazilian does not highlight that she could work in 'bare-knuckle boxing' in the future, if a good proposal is made.

“I can’t tell you I’ll never fight again. There is 'bare-knuckle boxing' and jiu-jitsu. Who knows, maybe I'll get that itch. I'll never say never. But, at the moment, I'm focused on the gym (Team Correia). With a good offer, things can change. However, when it comes to MMA, I'm pretty sure I've retired for good. I can compete in another sport, but I hung up my gloves in MMA”, said 'Pitbull' in an interview with 'Bloody elbow'.

In August 2015, the woman from Paraíba had the 'peak' of her career with the chance to face the then bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. However, at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, she was knocked out in just 34 seconds. The Brazilian ended her participation in the sport with a record of 11 wins, five defeats and one draw.
