“I hope that with these submissions the UFC will put me in the top ten or even the top five. I would like to finish the year in the top five (in the middleweight rankings). Perhaps Darren till with a better bonus now. If I can't convince them to turn me against Darren till in England, it would be incredible to fight in Rio (de Janeiro) against someone ranked above me. Who knows Uriah Hall or someone like that. It would be incredible,” said Sergipano.

Based on jiu-jitsu, he submitted three athletes and reached the judges' decision only in his debut, against his compatriot Antonio Arroyo, in 2019.
