The world of Brazilian muay thai suffered a harsh loss this Sunday (3). In an official announcement released by the family, athlete Monique Piske passed away at the age of 32 after suffering a heart attack at home, located in Guaramirim, Santa Catarina. The information was first released by 'G1.com'.

According to reports from her sister via social media, Luciana, Monique was found dead by her parents. A big name in Muay Thai, the athlete was two-time state champion and, in 2018, won the national title in the under-70kg division. She also managed to triumph in the Brazilian Kickboxing Cup and the 'Joinville Fight Night de MMA'.

On his social networks, Piske shared his Muay Thai training routine with his followers, as well as experiences in Jiu-Jitsu and bodybuilding. Other friends and followers paid their respects to the athlete.
“May God receive you and lead you to a good place in heaven! Go in peace, my friend”, wrote one of his followers.
“You made our family very proud. She has come very far with her achievements”, said Monique’s cousin, Silvia Piske Di Renzo.
