In a bad phase in his career, Cody Garbrandt rules out the chance of retiring from MMA

Even with just one victory in his last six fights, the former bantamweight champion showed confidence in achieving a recovery in his career

Going through the worst phase of his career, the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) cody garbrandt ruled out the possibility of retiring from mixed martial arts. In a statement given to his podcast 'Rollin with the Homies', the American stated that he will not hang up his gloves now and showed confidence in returning to the winning path in his career.

“When it’s over, I say it’s over. Not the fans, not Dana, not anyone will decide this but me. When I understand that I have nothing left to do to push myself, to train to be prepared to go out there and do my best to win, then I will be ready to stop. I can honestly say that and I have a good support network around me that will be like, 'Look, let's look at something else.' But that's so far down the road. I'm 30 years old, I still have a lot to do”, said 'No Love'.

In addition to the knockout over Raphael Assunção, the North American was defeated by TJ Dillashaw (twice), Peter Munhoz, Rob font e Kai Kara France.
