Chris Weidman questions Jake Paul's 'courage' and demands the YouTuber's challenge to Anderson Silva

Former rival of Brazilian legend criticizes digital influencer, who has gained more fame in challenges to MMA athletes

Former rival of Anderson Silva within the UFC, Chris Weidman expressed indignation at the challenges of Jake Paul for boxing clashes. After passing Ben Askren and twice Tyron woodley, references in wrestling, the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.) questioned the 'courage' of the youtuber for not suggesting Anderson Silva as an opponent.

“He’s challenging guys smaller than him. Anderson Silva is not under contract with the UFC. He is a professional boxer and has been incredible in his fights. He (Silva) just defeated a former world boxing champion (Julio César Chávez Jr.) and they were almost the same size. Why don't I listen to him (Jake Paul) challenging Anderson Silva? I would love to watch that confrontation,” said Weidman, on the podcast 'Won't Back Down'.
