Aljamain Sterling promises to 'shut up the critics' and suggests date for rematch against Petr Yan

Bantamweight champion claims to be 100% recovered from physical problems and wants to return to acting in March

After controversy over the disqualification in his first fight and, later, the accusation that he was running away from a rematch, aljamain sterling seems willing to meet again Petr yan in the Octagon for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.). On his official channel on 'YouTube', the champion stated that he has recovered from his physical problems and, finally, is free to act with the mission of 'shut up' the critics.

“I’m really excited for the opportunity to come back and compete. I'm sure it will be a great night and my fans will make money. That's what matters to me. I want to make money and silence the critics. We'll get the rematch and that's what matters. Maybe it will be on the March card. But Sean (Shelby) spoke in February, March or April. March would be ideal (the date) and I’m ready,” said Sterling.

Current bantamweight champion, Sterling won the belt in controversial fashion. The two athletes faced each other in the UFC 259, in March of this year. In the fourth round of the fight, the North American suffered an illegal knee from the Russian and was unable to continue the fight. After the accident, Petr was disqualified from the fight, which gave victory and the world title to 'radio master'.
