In a bad phase in the UFC, Stephen Thompson dismisses retirement rumors: 'I feel good'

Coming off a defeat over Belal Muhammad in his most recent fight, 'Wonderboy' says he feels great and is 'better' than he was five years ago

After being dominated by Belal Muhammad | in the second most important fight of the UFC Las Vegas 45, Stephen Thompson met his four defeats in six fights. However, according to him, there is no possibility of 'hanging up the gloves' afterwards. He even states that he feels good during presentations.

“I feel like people who retire when they feel like they should retire. Like, their bodies feel aches and pains. When I think about it, I feel great. Better than five years ago. I simply don't understand (the questions)”, said Thompson on his channel on 'YouTube'.

In his last appearances, 'Wonderboy' failed to develop his Kickboxing game and was dominated in Wrestling and jiu-jitsu, in fights in front of Belal Muhammad | e Gilbert Durinho, respectively, in the unanimous decision of the judges.

Professional since 2010, Thompson has a record of 16 wins, six setbacks and one draw. And, with two consecutive defeats, he had the possibility of fighting for the belt removed. Currently, he occupies seventh place in the welterweight rankings (up to 77kg.).
