The new moment of José Aldo in the UFC has been attracting the attention of even those who have lived through times of rivalry with the Brazilian legend. Prominent in the bantamweight division and on the front line of a title fight, the manauara was a subject for John Kavanagh, trainer of Conor McGregor. In an interview with 'The MMA Hour', the coach declared himself a fan of the 'People's Champion' and envisions a successful future for the Tupiniquim.

“I said this a lot at the time, but I was a big fan of WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting). If you were a WEC fan then you were obsessed with Aldo. He was the first one I actually saw, a switcher who could disarm Grapplers. I tried to learn a lot from what he did. His coach, Dedé (Pederneniras), I followed during Pride times. (…) No one was more of a fan of that team and of José Aldo than me,” he said.
Responsible for sharpening the game Conor McGregor, one of Aldo's biggest rivals in MMA, Kavanagh surrendered to the manauara's recent retrospect in Ultimate. Today, the Brazilian occupies a prominent place in the group and is close to a title fight.
“Look at what Aldo has done. He came back completely reinvented at bantamweight and has an elite performance. He presents himself as someone who can defeat a champion. If he gets that fight against (TJ) Dillashaw, I think we’ll understand how far he can go,” he signed off.
Over the last 12 months, Aldo has had stellar performances in the Octagon. In total, there were three presentations without being defeated.
