After expressing the desire to face Korean zombie and receiving a refusal with the justification that the South Korean was injured, the New Zealander asked for a fight against the former title challenger, Brian ortega.

“After the victory of Kai Kara France, I spoke to Sean Shelby (UFC matchmaker) on the way and it's the first time we've talked about my move to featherweight. He asked me what I would like to do and who I would like to face. I replied that I wanted Korean zombie, but he is hurt. And I talked about Brian ortega. He said he'll take a look and send me a list,” Hooker said in an interview with 'The Mac Life's Pub Talk'.
