Many fans were surprised by the stance of Anderson Silva in defeat to Chris Weidman, which cost the Brazilian the Ultimate middleweight belt. However, during the press conference that followed UFC 162 in Las Vegas (USA), unlike the fans, the new champion revealed that he and his coaches already expected this behavior from Spider.

“We expected him to act that way. I don't think he was being cocky or disrespectful. It's like any fighting style, it's his way. I tried not to lose my mind. I just thought about continuing to move forward. And I managed to hit him, I used my power,” said Weidman, who entered the interview location to a round of applause from the journalists present.

The North American also spoke about his expectations from now on, although he also commented on plans for a much closer future – such as eating. “It's crazy. I just want to sit back and relax. I am starving. I need to do my best always, all the time. I need to sacrifice myself and do everything to keep this belt,” said Chris.

This Saturday (6), in Las Vegas (USA), the North American Chris Weidman knocked out Anderson Silva in the second round of the main fight of UFC 162 to become the new middleweight champion of the main MMA organization on the planet. Now, the 29-year-old American has a perfect record of ten wins and no defeats.

he was irresponsible towards himself, his sponsors and above all towards his fans who, like me, stayed up late to see that shame

I disagree, Anderson fought the same way he always does, but after 10 years without losing he wants to retire and will fight in a boxing match against Roy Jr

Congratulations Chris, we all hope that you are an honorable champion, and don't try to beat your opponents by provoking them to lower their morale and make them easier to defeat. A true champion fights with honor and courage, using nothing more than his martial art and his mind to win. We know that you won because you were better, you didn't have the ego to WANT to dodge punches (and that's why you ended up not being able to). You were like water, you adapted to the situation you had to adapt to, and not to what your ego (inferior mind) wanted.

I may even be wrong, but I think this fight was well paid for Anderson to lose, it wasn't bad, there wasn't a fight, anyone who really knows Anderson knows that he didn't try one bit to win when he entered the ring, I thought something was wrong, me and My husband said this straight away, he can't win, but there's something wrong.

I confess that I saw the result of this fight with a lot of reservation because I have never seen in such a serious fight one of the opponents “playing on the job” like Anderson did. Either he didn't want to win, or he committed excessive security alongside disrespect for his opponent, etc. In other words, our fighter tried to underestimate the opponent who has an enviable record. Anderson: be more combative in your fights from now on so the viewer doesn't think the fight was a “fix” Horácio/Paulista Pe.

Anderson gave the fight away. I watched from the first minute, Anderson wasn't fighting, he didn't want to continue as champion and he thought it was right to “give” the belt to the fairest and most decent fighter in MMA today, in this way he ran away from the fight against Jon Jones, since If he lost he would be free.

Really… What goes on behind the scenes before the fights is not revealed to us!!! But for us, this fight seemed like a huge setup!!! The pathetic attitude of a former champion who seems to me to have forgotten any ethics, respect, target that a champion captivates!!! Anderson Silva, Silva means forest, should now rethink his cowardly and clown-like attitude, because a ring, an octagon is never a riding arena (he should feel ashamed of being Brazilian)!!! Especially because shortly after the fight, the so-called spiderman was seen in a nightclub with Ronaldinho... So far, nothing special... If he lost as a hero, as a respected fighter, with pride in his eyes... He could go with his head held high, lips swollen, eyes purples, etc… That my appreciation and that of thousands of Brazilians would be felt!!! So... if said athlete was thinking about retiring... seriously... it won't make any difference!!! A career built... and an armed fight to destroy it... For Spiderman, Baigon!!!!

With all the certainty in the world…
Anderson “spider” Silva gave up the fight, maybe it was really because he couldn't handle his career any longer, (like a company, when we work for a long time we get sick, tired, or whatever, but we feel like abandoning) Spider, has already made a lot of money with his career, and perhaps he wants to retire, or fight without having the obligation to defend the belt, although he defended it for many years, and he saw in Chris Weidman a fighter who, unlike Sonnen, has a lot of personality to follow and deserve the belt…
Honestly, thinking about the side that Silva can't take anymore, I liked the “fight”, it proved that if he really wanted to fight seriously, Chris Weidman would never win, Anderson really is the myth, and there will hardly be anyone with such capacity, confidence, skill , and among other qualities that Spider has, that he follows through with what he thinks of doing… he brought us a lot of joy… he will always be the myth…
and here for us guys... It was great to see his graces... the opponent must be crazy trying to hit Spider and he apparently didn't feel it, dodging and everything... I didn't think it was disrespectful... it's his way...
and now, move on, let Belfort do the work of rescuing the waistband back to Brazil...

Whether the fight was set up or not, the fact is that the majority of Brazilians who stayed up until late in the morning, were not only upset, but were left in stitches because he disrespected his opponent, and whoever was watching, playing like kids In a fight between men, letting your guard down once in a while is one thing, but all the time arrogance (inflated ego) goes to your head!

I wanted to lose the fight, I lost to Vitor Belfort who is much better than this American, I thought the American was weak, I want to see him against Belfort

It's very simple ladies and gentlemen, the World Cup has already been bought, countries pay millions to hold them, and the way this fight was there's no way you can't think it wasn't set up, THE DOG IS MAN'S BEST FRIEND BECAUSE IT'S NOT DO YOU KNOW WHAT MONEY IS….

Pure frame!!! The UFC organizers dictate the game, I believe in Anderson Silva!!! 7 years of victory and 10 incredible fights.

If Anderson fights again I will certainly watch.
    The guy is awesome.
    Nobody imagined this could happen!
Next time he'll knock the guy out!
Showbusiness is like that, but Anderson was very embarrassed!
