Even with the significant victory over Erik Anders No. UFC 269 last Saturday (11), the Brazilian André Sergipano regretted not having won one of the 'Performance of the Night' bonuses. In an interview with 'Combate', the middleweight fighter (up to 83,9kg) praised his performance on the show and revealed what he would like to have done, if he had won the US$50.

“I'm upset with 'Uncle Dana.' He lacked the 'make me laugh'. Uncle Dana, help me realize my dream of building my house and I will continue teaching jiu-jitsu in the category. This bonus was half of the house. Who knows, who knows, he won't let go of the money at the end of the year? It was a very technical position. I stopped Anders, made a beautiful transition and fit in”, said the Brazilian fighter proudly.
After the fight, Sergipano asked for a duel against the Englishman Darren till and believes that, if he wins, he could reach the top of the middleweight division.
“It’s a good fighting marriage. He's a striker, his weak point is grappling. I'm at risk of being knocked out, but there's a great chance I'll be able to finish. There is no easy path towards the top 10 and top 5, they are all very tough. Till is the one with the best game marriage. I'm very bold, I'll put him down, but I'll get beaten up too. This was a fantastic year. I will continue to focus until I reach the top of the division”, concluded the jiu-jitsu ace.
In four fights wearing Ultimate gloves, the Brazilian fighter has yet to feel the bitter taste of defeat. At 31 years old, the fighter has a record of 22 triumphs and four setbacks in professional MMA.
