Last Saturday (11), in the co-main fight of UFC 269, Julianna Pena shocked the world, finished Amanda nunes in the second round and became the new UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg), in which, according to Dana White, he was one of the biggest “zebras” in the organization’s history.

Moments after the historic achievement, the new world champion spoke exclusively to SUPER LUTAS. In an interview with journalist Laerta Viana, Julianna Pena described the feeling of winning the belt and responded about a possible overconfidence on the part of Amanda nunes.
“I feel great, I’m very grateful. It's a surreal experience. She (Amanda nunes) obviously had to have a lot of confidence, she was the champion and had to defend the belt. Obviously, I can understand a lot about her confidence and the fact that she doesn't take me seriously, but all I can say is that I try to focus on myself,” Julianna replied.
The new bantamweight champion also spoke about the possibility of an immediate rematch with Amanda. Julianna stated that she needs to take a vacation after a whole year of training, but that she is willing to face the Brazilian again when she returns.
“I'm going to take a vacation, I've been training for a year. After that, we will definitely do a rematch if she wants,” she stated.
Lastly, Julianna Pena sent a message to Brazilian fans, thanking them for their support and asking them to keep an eye on her.
“I would like to thank everyone who supports me. Keep watching me and keep an eye on me,” she concluded the champion.
