Dana White surrenders to Sean O'Maley after victory over Raulian Paiva: 'we're going to have to pay him'

The president of Ultimate admitted to meeting the bantamweight's demands for better payments

At the opening of the main card of the UFC 269, last Saturday (11), Sean O'Malley put on another show, knocking out Brazilian Raulian Paiva in the first round and showed again why he is considered one of the biggest prospects in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg). Days after declaring that O'Malley would not be ready to face ranked fighters, the president of Ultimate appears to have changed his mind. At the post-event press conference, Dana admitted that she will have to respond to the athlete's requests for better pay to face better opponents.

“The guy he beat today is a real guy. A very real guy. He won in spectacular fashion. When we talk to him, he wants two things: to get paid and to fight at a higher level. So, we’re going to have to pay him and get him some fights”, admitted Dana White.
