Dana White confirms Justin Gaethje as next challenger for Charles of the Bronx belt

Charles of the Bronx He barely defended his belt for the first time and already knows who his next challenger will be. Moments after the Brazilian's submission victory over Dustin poirier, in the main fight of the UFC 269, Dana White confirmed that Justin gaethje will be the champion's next opponent.

In the traditional press conference held after the fights, the president of Ultimate was asked if Justin gaethje would be the next challenger for the lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg) and was short in responding.

Justin gaethje is second in the lightweight rankings, just behind Dustin poirier and, obviously, the champion Charles of the Bronx. The former interim champion of the division qualified as the next title challenger with a victory over Michael chandler No. UFC 268, in November, in what was considered by many to be the best fight of the year so far.
