Still recovering from the serious injury suffered in UFC 264, Conor McGregor decided, once again, to try to revive his old rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov. In a post on social media, which was later deleted, the Irishman gave his opinion on the outcome of the Russian's career, to whom he lost in 2018. In the opinion of the 'Notório', the 'Eagle' does not carry the status of a legend.

“It was good, not amazing. He has a small knockout number, he can't shoot. He never changed category and almost died trying to make weight”, wrote Conor, in an excerpt published by 'RT.Sports'.

McGregor's statements didn't stop there. Afterwards, the Irishman continued to point out what he considers to be flaws in the Russian's career.

“He left fights several times and retired early. All of this leads to a good fighter, but not an amazing one. He was good for a few months, that’s all,” he concluded.

References in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg) of Ultimate, Conor and Khabib are in the history of MMA. In 2018, the fighters held what became the most watched fight in the sport. On that occasion, the Russian got the better of the Irishman, submitting his rival in the fourth round and defending the group title.
