“We will fight again, José Aldo. Be a man and accept a five-round fight with me”, wrote Vera, in her account on Twitter.

With two consecutive victories under his belt, Marlon had his last career defeat imposed by Aldo. On that occasion, the athletes exchanged forces in a three-round clash, held in December.

The triumph over Vera was the moment of Manauara's redemption within the bantamweight division. Until that moment, the Brazilian had two stumbles in the new group.

If Marlon has two wins in a row, Aldo is even better. With the victory this weekend, the former featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) reaches his third consecutive positive result.
