The UFC announced two tryouts for the month of July to define the participants of the first phase of TUF China, the reality show of the organization in Asia. For one of the season's coaching positions, the organization must select the Vietnamese Cung le.
The information was obtained from sources on the MMAjunkie website. Asked about the choice, Dana White said that Le would fit the role perfectly. “He really has very good chances,” replied the UFC president.
The popularity of Cung le as an actor in martial arts films and his Asian origin are factors that reinforce the empathy of the public from the most populous continent in the world with the fighter. To confirm, Le was selected to perform in the main fight of the only event held by the UFC in Chinese territory. In November 2012, the middleweight knocked out Rich Franklin at UFC On FUEL TV 6, held in Macau, one of China's special administrative regions.
