“The UFC’s decision to release Kevin is disappointing and unfortunate. Kevin is young, talented and has faced some of the toughest guys on the UFC roster. I think the UFC made the wrong decision by releasing him, but we all believe that better days will come in Kevin's career”, declared Marquel Martin, manager of Kevin Lee to the “MMA Junkie” website.

Kevin Lee he enjoyed his peak in the UFC between 2016 and 2017, when he scored five consecutive victories and gained the opportunity to fight for the interim lightweight belt. In the dispute against Tony Ferguson, however, ended up being finished in the third round.
