Considered by many to be the best MMA fighter of all time, he could Jon Jones spare in a training session against an Olympic wrestling medalist? Part of the response was released on social media by J'den Cox, third place at the Rio de Janeiro Games in 2016. The activities are part of the attempt to 'Bones' to evolve his techniques to make his long-awaited debut in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg) of Ultimate.

In the images (see below) released by J'den, it is possible to see the professional fighter's experience in the sport. The athlete approaches Jones waddling and quickly flies at the Ultimate athlete's legs, placing him on his knees on the ground.
“I had a great experience practicing wrestling and talking to Jon Jones. It's also okay to stay close to Henry Cejudo”. It’s fun to be surrounded by legends,” Cox wrote.
Quoted by J'den, Cejudo has been a staple in Jones' training in recent weeks. Former UFC light heavyweight (up to 83kg) champion, 'Bones' spent a season in Arizona (USA), where he honed his game in Fight Ready, commanded by 'Triplo C'.
Mixed martial arts legend, Jon has not performed in the UFC since February 2020. After defending his old belt for the last time against Dominick reyes, the American, months later, gave up his title and began preparing to debut in the heavyweight division.
The initial idea of 'Bones' it was to debut, immediately, fighting for the belt. A disagreement with the Ultimate board, involving requests for better salaries, made negotiations difficult, which stalled. The tendency is for Jones to make his debut in the new group in 2022.
