Miesha Tate shows her face a week after being disfigured in a fight with Ketlen Vieira

Former UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg), Miesha Tate was the protagonist of one of the strongest images of the UFC Las Vegas 43. Victim of scams Ketlen Scallop, the North American had her face disfigured during the clash, but surprised by showing his recovery almost a week after the confrontation. The record was made in celebration of 'Thanksgiving Day', traditional in the United States.

“We are bloated, yes, and only 50% of that is the fault of cupcakes and my mother's bacon,” wrote the fighter.

Last weekend, Tate took to the octagon for his second engagement since deciding to come out of retirement. After beating Marion Reneau in July, the American did not have the same success against Ketlen.

The clash against the Brazilian, however, was marked by balance. After 25 minutes, Vieira was declared the winner in a unanimous decision by the judges.

With the stumble, Miesha was momentarily removed from her dream of regaining her status as a title challenger. Ketlen, in turn, came closer to a title shot.
