“He’s going back to the gym, he’s going back to the mats now in the next few weeks with me. He's doing a lot of strength training right now. His guy is strong. I think he will come back as a middleweight. But he will be back on the mat with me soon and we will start fighting training again,” said Kavanagh.
After suggesting some possible opponents for the Irishman's return, John highlighted that regardless of the opponent, the 'Notório' will remain motivated to continue his career.
“He has a hundred opponents he could face, it seems. But let's get back to training, let's test his leg and everything and when the time comes I'm sure he won't have any problems choosing. Whoever he faces, he will be very motivated. It's clear that at this stage, Conor has a few pounds, a few dollars in his bank account.
