No one expected this. The loudmouth Chael Sonnen, despite his history of confusion and provocations, is a romantic man. Last Saturday, June 29, the UFC fighter walked down the aisle in a surprise ceremony in the United States. Sonnen's now-wife, Brittany Sonnen (formerly Brittany Smith), also participated in the frame-up.
For months, the two scheduled a small engagement ceremony for the date – for around 30 guests, mostly family members. It turns out that when everyone was present in the room, Sonnen entered alone announcing that it was not an engagement party, but rather his wedding to Brittany.
Brittany, who has already changed in Twitter his surname to Sonnen, thanked the athlete's fans for their love on the social network. “Thank you for the sweet messages,” she wrote, along with an image of the couple at the moment of their union.
Despite the importance of the event, Sonnen only took a short break in his preparation, as the athlete returns to the octagon on August 17th. The loudmouth faces the Brazilian Mauritius Shogun in the main fight of the first edition of UFC on FOX Sports 1 1, in Boston (USA).
