A defeat to Ketlen Vieira in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 43, last Saturday (20), was costly for Miesha Tate. In addition to delaying the dream of a possible rematch against Amanda nunes, the setback could keep the former Octagon champion away for up to six months.

Miesha Tate, who left his face disfigured after the unanimous decision defeat, suffered multiple fractures to his nose. The former champion needs clearance from the otorhinolaryngologist to avoid a medical suspension of up to six months given by the Nevada Athletic Commission last Tuesday (23). If she is not released by a specialist, 'Cupcake' will only be able to return in May 2022.

Other fighters on the card UFC Las Vegas 43 facing possible six months of medical suspension are: Joanne Wood (left hand), Adrian Yanez (right hand), Rafa Garcia (right elbow and right hand), Lupita Godinez (right knee) and cody durden (nose).

Of the four Brazilians who took action on the card, the only one to appear on the list of medical suspensions was Rani Yaya. The veteran, who defeated Kyung Ho Kang, will be suspended until December 21st and without contact until the 12th of the same month due to a laceration below his left eye.
