Taila Santos gains five positions in the flyweight rankings after submission at UFC Las Vegas 43

the card of UFC Las Vegas 43 may not have been the most attractive for fans, but at least it helped two Brazilian fighters gain important positions in the rankings of their respective divisions.

Responsible for the only interruption of the night, Taila Santos took the lift in the flyweight division rankings (up to 56,7 kg). With the conclusion on Joanne Wood, the Brazilian from Astra Fight Team gained five positions in the category, reaching fifth place and getting closer and closer to a title fight against the champion Valentina Shevchenko.

Another Brazilian who rose in her category was Ketlen Scallop, which hit Miesha Tate in the main fight of the night. The victory over the former champion made Nova União Manauara gain a position, surpassing It's Kunitskaya and occupying sixth place in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg), which has Amanda nunes as champion.

The biggest beneficiary of the night, however, was an American. Sean brady, who remained undefeated in professional MMA by defeating Michael chiesa, gained six positions in the welterweight division (up to 77 kg) and now occupies eighth place. Defeated by the promising athlete, Michael chiesa lost three positions and appears in ninth. The veteran's fall also served to Neil Magny e Jorge masvidal ended up gaining one position each, rising, respectively, to seventh and sixth place.
