Former UFC champion, Rampage Jackson eyes move to boxing and indicates possible opponent

The former owner of the light heavyweight belt claimed that he no longer feels excitement in MMA and showed interest in migrating to the noble art

Officially still considered an active fighter, the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) Rampage Jackson doesn't seem interested in returning to MMA. The American veteran spoke about his long career in mixed martial arts, showed interest in moving to the boxing ring and even indicated a possible opponent. The statement was given at a press conference held by 'Triller Triad Combat'.

“That’s one thing people don’t understand about me. I've been fighting MMA for a long time and I've fought against the best in the sport. I win a little and lose a little, but that emotion is no longer there in MMA like it was when I started,” he said. Rampage.

The former light heavyweight leader showed interest in switching to boxing and even suggested the name of a possible opponent: veteran and former champion Shannon Briggs.

Light heavyweight champion between 2007 and 2008, Rampage has not fought professionally since December 2019. On that occasion, the American was knocked out by the Russian Fedor Emelianenko. Professional since 1999, the fighter has a record in the sport of 38 triumphs and 14 setbacks.
