Uriah Hall will have the chance to recover from the surprising defeat in the TUF 17 final. The middleweight is scheduled to fight in the first edition of UFC On FOX Sports 1, but the opponent will no longer be the one originally announced. Canadian Nick Ring would be Hall's opponent, but an unspecified injury took him out of the event. In his place, the “Ambulance Man”, as he is known. Josh Samman will join, who was also revealed in the same season as reality show.
Hall and Samman were expected to decide the final season of the UFC reality show in the United States. The two reached the semi-final stage, but Josh did not qualify for the very final after being victimized by the zebra Kelvin Gastelum. In the decision, at the TUF 17 Finale, Gastelum did it again, beating Hall and becoming the youngest winner in TUF history. At the same event, Samman knocked out Kevin Casey.
The first event in the UFC On FOX Sports 1 series will be held at the TD Garden gym in Boston on August 17th and will feature a duel between Mauricio Shogun e Chael Sonnen in the main fight.
