Even though he was defeated in his last two fights and hasn't emerged victorious in a light heavyweight fight since 2006, Chael Sonnen opened the bets for the confrontation against Mauritius Shogun as a favorite. The information is from the specialized website Best Fight Odds.
According to the website's indicator, Sonnen is “-139”. This means that the bettor who believes in the loudmouth's victory will have to pay 139 dollars so that, in the event of the North American's victory, he can recover the money invested and win another 100 dollars. Shogun is now “+100”, which implies a prize of 200 dollars for a 100 dollar bet placed on the Brazilian – in case the former light heavyweight champion wins.
Chael Sonnen e Mauritius Shogun face each other in the main fight of the first edition of UFC on FOX Sports 1. The event is scheduled for August 17th, at TD Garden, in Boston (USA). While Sonnen has a record of 28-13-1, Shogun has a record of 21-7.
