After enduring five rounds of aggressive confrontation, Miesha Tate will carry a memory of the fight against Ketlen Scallop for a while. Star of UFC Las Vegas 43, held this Saturday (20), the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) left the octagon with a disfigured face. Victim of the Brazilian's heavy hands, the North American was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges.

Willing to regain her status as a challenger for the bantamweight belt, Tate ended up having her dream postponed after the challenge with Ketlen. Returning to MMA after almost five years of inactivity, the veteran ended up losing her first challenge since she decided to come out of retirement.
Before stepping into the octagon this weekend, Miesha had a positive result, achieved in July, when she beat Marion Reneau. With the stumble, the veteran should remain parked in eighth place in the category led by Amanda nunes.
Victorious in the main fight, Ketlen has plenty of reasons to celebrate. Brazilian promise in bantamweight, the fighter once again dreams of fighting for the title.
