Miesha Tate, who lost the UFC bantamweight belt against Amanda nunes, at UFC 200, in 2016, believes that she has the necessary weapons to dethrone the “Lioness” in a possible rematch. In an interview with North American ESPN, the former champion stated that she is in no rush, but is confident that she will defeat the Brazilian and regain the title.

“I know sometimes you only get one chance. When I get the chance against Amanda (Nunes), it will be perfect timing. I'll have perfect aim. I'll be the sniper who takes her down. But I won't rush. I'm going to build my way there and make sure I'm giving my body and mind space to evolve and everything will be in perfect shape when I get to the title fight. I’ll be ready”, assured Miesha.

The duel against Ketlen Scallop marks the second appearance of Miesha Tate in the octagon in his return to professional MMA. The former champion announced her retirement in 2016, after defeat to Rachel Pennington and was away from the sport for almost five years. In July of this year she returned to fight, defeating Marion Reneau by technical knockout.
