A professional MMA fighter faces serious charges after allegedly murdering a doctor following a debate over Covid-19 vaccinations. The crime took place in Guam, a United States territory in Oceania.

According to multiple local sources, including the Pacific Daily News, Akmal Khoziev was charged with murder and assault after stabbing 44-year-old doctor Mirian Rabati.
Guam police were reportedly notified of a disturbance in the village of Tamuning, where officers found Khoziev covered in blood and claiming he had killed Rabati. The fighter, who has a record of three wins and one loss as an MMA professional, was arrested at the scene after the doctor's body was found “in a pool of blood”.
Witnesses revealed that the two men were having dinner at the scene of the incident when they began to argue about vaccination related to Covid-19. Khoziev allegedly strangled Rabati from behind while two women tried to separate them. One of them would have been hit in the head.
According to reports, Khozhiev found an animal bone and began repeatedly stabbing the doctor, who tried to escape the scene before being attacked with a knife multiple times in the neck.
Bail for Akmal Khoziev was set at US$1 million (approximately R$5,5 million).
