Scott Coker reveals planned date for Fedor Emelianenko's final pro fight

The Bellator president hinted that the last fight of the Russian's current contract should be at the beginning of 2022 and will also mark his farewell to MMA

Apparently, the next fight for Fedor Emelianenko It will, in fact, be his farewell as an MMA professional. In an interview with MMA Junkie, Bellator president Scott Coker revealed plans to hold a new card in Russia for the 'Last Emperor' to hang up his gloves in style and promised something 'special'.

“We’re going to have one more (fight). It's going to be something huge. It will probably happen next summer (in the northern hemisphere, between December and March). It will be in Moscow. Fedor wants to fight in Russia in his last fight (of the contract), so we're going to do it there and we have big plans. Again, this is going to be a big send-off. We won’t just do a normal fight, it will be something very special and we are starting to plan now”, said Cooker.

Fedor Emelianenko has just one more fight left on his current contract. In his last confrontation, the Russian knocked out fellow veteran Tim Johnson in the first round of the Bellator 269. The 'Last Emperor' has a mixed martial arts record of 40 wins and six losses.
