After victory at Bellator 271, Cris Cyborg nods to fight with Kayla Harrison: 'I'm ready'

The Brazilian is assertive when talking about the possibility of a duel and asks the North American to sign with Scott Coker's company, if she is really willing to face it

It's no secret that Chris Cyborg has accredited herself, for many, as one of the biggest names in the history of the sport and, at the same time, the featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) appears ready for all the challenges in her career. Upon learning of the 'respectful challenge' made by Kayla harrison after knocking out Sinead Kavenagh in the Bellator 271 this Friday (12), she gave a positive signal for the duel.

“If she really wants to fight me, she knows where I am and where to find me. She can go to Scott Coker (president of Bellator) and ask for the fight to actually happen. I didn't want to say anything yet so as not to spoil the moment of victory, but if someone wants to fight me, I'm ready to make it happen”, replied Cyborg.

Despite the praise of Kayla harrison Regarding her performance on the card, the Brazilian reveals that she ended up 'avoiding the strategy' for the duel against Kavenagh and admits that she could have been surprised by her choice. Furthermore, she highlights that her coaches were irritated by the style she adopted.

“My coaches were mad at me because I strayed a little from the initial strategy for the fight and let my emotions get the better of me at a certain point. After a while in the sport, you start to take even more risks to see how far you can go”, he concluded.

With the positive result, Cyborg extended his streak of 25 career victories – 19 of which were by knockout. The Brazilian now has a record of 25 positive results, two negative results and one fight without result. She has already defended the belt on three occasions.
