This Tuesday, a press conference took place with members of the main fight of UFC 162, the middleweight champion Anderson Silva and the challenger Chris Weidman. The fighters will face each other on July 6, in Las Vegas. Considered by many analysts to be the best MMA fighter of all time, Anderson was asked who, in his opinion, would be the most talented athletes MMA has ever seen. Without including his own name on the list, Spider ranked the only two fighters to have won belts in two different categories in the UFC in the first two positions.

“The best fighter of all time is B.J. Penn, followed by Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell and Royce gracie”, said the superstar, leader of the UFC’s weight-for-pound rankings.

The first foreigner to become world jiu-jitsu champion as a black belt, Penn won the belt in the welterweight category in 2004, by beating Matt hugs, and in the lightweight category in 2008, when he beat Joe Stevenson in the fight for the vacant title. With this, the Hawaiian equaled Couture, who had won the heavyweight belt in 1997 and light heavyweight in 2003. Despite his glories, Couture has been retired since 2011 and BJ hasn't won a fight since November of the previous year.
