In 2012, UFC women's champion Ronda Rousey was featured on the cover of ESPN Magazine's annual The Body Issue. The publication carries out shoots with athletes from different sports posing nude or semi-nude. For the 2013 edition, the North American magazine decided to further spice up the main rivalry in women's MMA today. Miesha Tate, Ronda's current challenger and arch-rival, stars in the issue, scheduled to hit newsstands in the United States in mid-July.
Tate will be accompanied in the publication by names such as Matt Harvey (pitcher for the New York Mets, from the professional baseball league), Colin Kaepernick (quarterback from the San Francisco 49ers, from the American football league), Kenneth Faried (from the Denver Nuggets, from the NBA ), by tennis players John Isner and Agnieszka Radwanska. The magazine will also feature 77-year-old golf legend Gary Player. In previous years, Gina Carano and Jon Jones were the other MMA representatives at the Body Issue.
Ronda and Miesha are in the final stages of recording TUF 18. The program is scheduled to air in the United States on September 4th, the same date scheduled for the next edition of UFC in Belo Horizonte. The fighters should face each other at the end of 2013.
