“(I think the winner will be) Max Holloway. I think that Max Holloway It will be too much for Yair (Rodriguez), it will put a lot of pressure. Yair likes to fight at range and is the type of guy that, if you give him space to move, stand in front of him and let him work at range, he's going to be an absolute weapon. But if you take that away from him, then obviously he has to think faster and that's not his strong point. So, the pressure that Max will put on will definitely make things difficult for Yair”, said the champion.

Alexander Volkanovsky became featherweight champion precisely with a victory over Max Holloway, by unanimous decision, in December 2019. In the rematch, held in July 2020, the Australian won again, this time in a split decision contested by many fans. Since then, Volkanovski has defended his title against Brian ortega, in September this year, while Max Holloway overcame Calvin kattar, in January.
