Namajunas recognizes Zhang's talent and doesn't rule out a third fight in the future

After winning Weili Zhang in a 25-minute battle on UFC 268 and maintained the straw belt (up to 52,1kg.), Rose namajunas recognized the talent of the former group champion. Respect for the opponent raises the possibility of a new confrontation in the future. In a press conference after the show this Saturday (6), the North American spoke about the subject.

“She is obviously committed to martial arts and being the best. I'm sure she'll do whatever she needs to do to have the opportunity to fight for the belt again. I wouldn’t be surprised,” she stated.

This weekend, Namajunas shared the octagon with Weili for the second time this season. Unlike the collision carried out by the North American in April, in UFC 268, the duel was marked by balance.

Although she was superior in most of the match, the Chinese put the champion in danger in some situations. Rose, however, proved herself worthy of the throne and extended the good momentum.

With the stumble, Zhang has the second consecutive setback in MMA. The negative sequence is something unprecedented in the career of the former strawweight champion.
