Colby Covington mocks possible boxing fight between Usman and Canelo

After Kamaru Usman expressed interest in facing boxing star Canelo Alvarez, Colby covington mocked the Nigerian's desire. For the North American, the welterweight champion (up to 77,1kg) is 'making up stories' to justify a possible failure in the UFC 268 next Saturday (06).

“Just more fake news and an easier landing for him (Kamaru Usman). He just wants a way out so that after I hit him on Saturday night he can say, 'Oh, I wasn't focused.' It just gives you an exit plan, you know, like, 'Oh, I was focusing on Canelo. Oh, I was focused on moving up in weight. I wasn't focused on Colby.' You know, he'll be begging the UFC for a rematch (if he loses on Saturday),” Colby teased.

The main fight of UFC 268 It will be the second duel between Kamaru Usman e Colby covington. In the first fight, in December 2019, the Nigerian won with a knockout in the fifth round and remained champion of the under-77,1kg division.
