After win the interim bantamweight belt (under 61,2 kg) by defeating Cory Sandhagem in the co-main fight of UFC 267, Petr yan is ready to share the octagon again with the current lineal champion aljamain sterling and unify titles.

During participation in “MMA Hour”, a podcast presented by journalist Ariel Helwani on the website “MMAFighting.com”, Petr yan he provoked his rival again.

“I live in his head. The man who ran once will always run. He has the heart of a chicken, very small”, said the Russian.

Former bantamweight champion, Petr yan lost the belt precisely in a confrontation against aljamain sterling. The Russian was disqualified due to an illegal knee on the American in the fourth round of the fight. “It definitely helps to move forward. I know it's called an interim belt, but it actually has all the functions of a real belt. When I have the opportunity to beat Sterling again, I will do it in a more dominant way to leave no doubt as to who the real champion is. I will really hurt him this time,” Yan promised.
