“Man, I feel like a kid before Christmas. I'm so excited that I finally got what I've been begging for. Most people said the fight wasn't competitive the first time we fought. Man, I beat him for several rounds. He had to make several fouls in several rounds. I kicked him in the liver and they called him crazy. I rocked him with a high kick, he was pretending to hit his right eye when in fact he barely missed it. We know he’s a terrible actor,” Colby said.

The North American cited the changes that occurred in the careers of the two athletes, in the interval between the two fights, and said that he will emerge champion of the duel that will take place in the UFC 268.

“The great thing is that this duel is in the past now. Now we can see the evolution of our games. It's been two years since we fought for the first time. He's at a new gym, I'm at a new gym. I have a new energy around me, great coaches… I just know that this is my destiny. I will be the undisputed UFC champion. Madison Square Garden, November 6th”, said Covington.

Number one in the welterweight rankings, Colby will have his second opportunity to win the belt that currently belongs to Kamaru Usman. On the first occasion, in December 2019, the Nigerian knocked out 'Chaos' in the fifth round, in a very close fight. The North American has an MMA record of 16 wins and two setbacks.
