UFC President agrees with judges, says the fight was balanced and thinks Hendo could have won the fight too

Rashad-Evans-vs.-Dan-HendersonThe North Americans Rashad evans e Dan Henderson They fought a balanced duel from start to finish and full of alternations in control of the main fight of UFC 161, an event held this Saturday (15), in Winnipeg, Canada. After 15 minutes of competition, Evans won a split decision from the judges and part of the public was unhappy with the result.

Although the decision did not please some of the fans, Dana White, president of the UFC, agreed with the Canadian judges' decision. “I didn't see any controversy in the result, the fight could have gone the other way too. I wouldn't be shocked if Dan had won. It was one of those fights that, because it was so close, anyone could have won,” said White, at the press conference after the show.

“Tonight was a good night for Rashad because he needed to get his head back in the game. He was physically fit and came to face a very tough guy who could win with one punch. I felt Rashad very confident and heading in the right direction,” he signed off.
