A veteran of mixed martial arts, Zuluzinho from Maranhão fainted while participating in a face slapping competition held in Poland. The 43-year-old Brazilian had to be rescued by members of the event staff and scared those present. The championship was held last Saturday (24).

The event 'PunchDown' took place last Saturday in Wocral, Poland. The competition had the participation of two other Brazilians, Tiago Cardoso and Edison Lopes and was won by local athlete David Zalewski. The Tupiniquim veteran was defeated by also Polish Karol 'Bula' Filasinski.
At 43 years old, Zuluzinho had the greatest moment of his career between 2005 and 2007 when he fought in the now defunct Pride event. Even with the bad record of three wins and one defeat in the Japanese organization, the Brazilian faced names like Rodrigo Minotauro and the Russian Fedor Emelianenko. The Brazilian athlete hung up his gloves with a record of 12 triumphs and 10 setbacks.
