The attitude of the participants in the The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 2, a reality show that ended last Saturday (8) with the TUF Brasil 2 Finale event, left the UFC middleweight champion uncomfortable Anderson Silva. During the interview announcing his sponsors for the duel against Chris Weidman, this Wednesday (12), Spider showed all his dissatisfaction with the second Brazilian edition of the program.

“I thought the program left a lot to be desired. The proposal, which is to show what MMA athletes are, was not what was shown within TUF. For me, it wasn’t good”, said Anderson. Subsequently, the champion defined the behavior of the athletes who participated in the reality show as the main cause of his dissatisfaction, which is why Spider even ruled out participating in a future edition of the program.

“What was shown on TUF was vandalism. I got here without vandalism, I've never done that. With the difficulties I went through when I was starting out, if I had an opportunity like that, I would never throw a mattress into a swimming pool, destroy things inside a house... There is something missing from the concept of martial art, the essence of martial art, to the we can have a decent TUF. They were good fights, I don't have anything to say about them, but the way the athletes behaved on a TV show that children watch and many people are fans of. The way TUF was put together, I have no intention or desire to participate”, he added.

Controversies about TUF Brasil 2 aside, Anderson Silva face Chris Weidman in the main fight of UFC 162, on July 6th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). The fight marks the eleventh defense of the middleweight title by the Brazilian, who is undefeated in Ultimate since debuting in the organization – in 2006.
