Last Sunday (30), the mixed martial arts community said goodbye to yet another athlete. Former member of the UFC, Bellator, WEC and Shooto, Brian Gassaway, died at the age of 49, in the United States. The information was disseminated by family and friends through social media.

In moving testimonies, people related to Gassaway recounted their experiences and all the support that the American gave during his life. The cause of death, however, was not announced.

Professional between 1996 and 2010, Brian Gassaway competed in 51 fights. In his record, there were 28 wins, 20 losses, two draws and one fight without result. He even came to measure forces against notable names such as Diego Sanchez, Mike pyle and John Alessio.
