Fabricio Werdum was a technical assistant for Wanderlei Silva in the first season of the reality shot The Ultimate Fighter Brasil. In the second, he was the head coach of one of the teams. The heavyweight from Rio Grande do Sul seems to have enjoyed the experience, as he is already thinking about the next edition.

After winning Rodrigo Minotauro No. TUF Brazil 2 Finale, held this Saturday, in Fortaleza, Werdum spoke about his future plans, which include facing Cain Velazquez in an edition of TUF in Mexico.
“For those who don't know, I'm a UFC commentator in Spanish because I speak Spanish. I lived in Spain for years, said Werdum after the event. “I came up with the idea of the UFC doing a TUF with Velasquez in Mexico.”

He knows that his next challenger Cain Velazquez é Junior Gypsy, but he is already thinking about the possibility of facing the American champion.
“I don’t know if he (Velasquez) will beat Cigano. It will be a great fight. I'll be watching them both, but I already didn't fight for a year because of TUF here (in Brazil), I wouldn't want that to happen again. But if the UFC told me to wait a little longer, do a TUF and then face the champion, I would certainly wait and work to be champion.”
The UFC's idea was to hold a version of TUF in Mexico, taking advantage of the popularity of some fighters – mainly Velasquez – in the emerging Latin American economy. However, after this Saturday's event, UFC vice president of international relations Marshall Zelaznik said that the current plan is to hold a TUF Latin America, including other Spanish-speaking countries on the American continent in addition to Mexico. This will not happen before 2014, according to the director, but it could be concluded with an event in Mexico City.
