Boxing legend Teddy Atlas analyzed the fight between Francis Ngannou e Cyryl Gane for the Ultimate heavyweight title (up to 120,2kg). In an interview with 'Submission Radio', the former boxer stated that the Cameroonian needs to act cautiously to avoid being surprised by the Frenchman and former training partner. The duel takes place in UFC 270, scheduled for January 22nd.

“(Ciryl) Gane was developed. He has the advantage of being a strategic fighter and (this fight) will be very interesting. And the most interesting thing is that (Francis) Ngannou has improved and it's better to continue improving so as not to get involved in a duel that will depend solely on his strength. If that happens, he will end up in the same position that Wilder ended up against Fury,” said Atlas.
Despite highlighting the dangers of fighting to Francis Ngannou, the former boxer also believes that the champion improved his qualities before competing for the title. He also says that the Cameroonian had a learning path for the rematch and showed himself to be an even more mature fighter.
“Before winning the title, Ngannou was just a strong, tough guy. But he has matured. His experience led him on a path of learning. He got better and was much better. He landed a left hook against Miocic. He took a step back, Miocic managed to catch him and was surprised. This is development,” he added.
The fighter, in fact, stands out mainly for the great power of the blows he delivers to his opponents. In his career in MMA, which began in 2013, he has 16 victories, 11 of which were knockouts – including against important names in heavyweight history, such as Stipe Miocic, junior gypsy, Cain Velásquez and alistair overeem.
