TUF Brasil 2 Finale: Minotauro and Werdum have long-awaited rematch at UFC in Fortaleza

The UFC arrives for the first time in the Brazilian Northeast, this Saturday (08), in a night that promises to be electrifying. The Paulo Sarasate gym, in Fortaleza, will be the stage for the conclusion of the second season of The Ultimate Fighter Brasil. The TUF Brasil 2 Finale – called UFC on FUEL 10 in the United States – features as its main attraction the long-awaited rematch between the program's coaches Rodrigo Minotauro e Fabricio Werdum, in addition to the decision of the reality show, where the locals William Patolino e Leo Santos they measure forces in search of a dream contract with Ultimate.

Considered one of the greatest fighters in MMA history, Rodrigo Minotauro measures strength against his compatriot Fabricio Werdum. The two faced each other in 2006, for the now-defunct Pride, and the confrontation ended in a triumph for the Bahian. Now, the gaucho will have the chance to get back at his rival.

“It’s one of the most important fights of my life. I'm very happy to fight against Minotauro, a legend of the sport. But I'm sure I'll win and get close to fighting for the belt,” said Werdum.

Minotauro, who has enjoyed a successful career in the sport, is betting all his chips on the duel against Werdum. “The fight is super important. I'm at the moment where I can't lose, but I'm not thinking about my career after this fight. My whole career is based on this fight”, stated Rodrigo.

The big decision of TUF Brasil 2 brings two athletes with different styles face to face. Adept at striking, Patolino has the great asset in his heavy hands to lift the glass home and guarantee a long life in the UFC. Already Leo Santos, training partner of the champions José Aldo e Renan Barao on the Nova União team, he focuses on takedowns and submissions using jiu-jitsu.
