On the eve of UFC Las Vegas 40, the Brazilian Luana Dread had her opponent changed at the last minute. After sijara eubanks tests positive for Covid-19, the Tupiniquim athlete's new opponent will be the Mexican Lupita Godinez. The duel will be valid in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg).

Surprisingly, Lupita Godinez will return to the octagon exactly seven days after his last fight, a record in the organization's history. At UFC Vegas 39 last Saturday (09), the Mexican beat Silvana Juárez via submission, in the first round. The previous record belonged to welterweight (up to 77,1kg) Khamzat Shimaev who, in a span of 10 days, defeated John Philips and rhys mckee.
Promise in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg), Luana was hired in 2018 by Ultimate after beating Mabelly Lima in the 'Contender Series'. Since then, the Brazilian fighter has won Priscila Pedrita e Poliana Botelho e foi derrotada por Ariane Lipski.
