Luana Dread's rival tests positive for Covid-19 and the Brazilian fighter will have a new opponent at UFC Vegas 40

After veteran Sijara Eubanks contracted the new coronavirus, the Brazilian athlete will have to face Mexican Lupita Godinez next Saturday (16)

On the eve of UFC Las Vegas 40, the Brazilian Luana Dread had her opponent changed at the last minute. After sijara eubanks tests positive for Covid-19, the Tupiniquim athlete's new opponent will be the Mexican Lupita Godinez. The duel will be valid in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg).

Surprisingly, Lupita Godinez will return to the octagon exactly seven days after his last fight, a record in the organization's history. At UFC Vegas 39 last Saturday (09), the Mexican beat Silvana Juárez via submission, in the first round. The previous record belonged to welterweight (up to 77,1kg) Khamzat Shimaev who, in a span of 10 days, defeated John Philips and rhys mckee.
