Former UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) and currently at Bellator, Ben henderson didn't like the wedding of the duel between Patricky Pitbull and Peter Queally for the category belt. For the North American, there is no point in fighting for the vacant title without his presence, but he showed confidence in getting the opportunity after winning his next fight.

“Why in the world would you have a title fight and not have me in it? But whatever. That's great. I have to earn it, if that's how it is. By all means, let's do it,” Henderson said in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

Even though he believes he deserves the opportunity, Henderson stated that he intends to beat his neighbor categorically, so that he can compete for the category title.

“I have to hit him (Brent Primus) emphatically. I want an emphatic ending. I want a highlight. I want people to be talking about this on Monday morning: 'Oh my God, did you check out the latest Bellator card?' I want something that people talk about. After that, I'm going to fight for the belt, I'm going to win the title and have my hand raised”, concluded Ben.

In his next fight, Ben will face former division champion Brent Primus. The confrontation is scheduled for Bellator 268, scheduled for October 16th.
