Right after announce the duel between Leon Edwards and Jorge Masvidal for UFC 269, Ultimate confirmed another fight that promises to change the welterweight (up to 77 kg) rankings for the same event. Twelfth placed, Santiago Ponzinibbio faces tenth place Geoff neal on December 11th, at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).

After almost three years away from the octagon due to consecutive injuries, Santiago Ponzinibbio He shows that he is in shape and enters the octagon for the third time this year. The Argentine, product of The Ultimate Fighter Brasil, was knocked out by Jingliang Li in January, but bounced back with a win over Miguel Baeza in June. In addition to putting ranked athletes face to face, the fight between Santiago Ponzinibbio e Geoff neal features a duel between two of the most lethal strikers in the welterweight division. Of Ponzinibbio's 28 victories, 15 came by knockout, while Neal took eight of his 13 career victims to the canvas.
