The battle between Marina Rodriguez e Mackenzie dern in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 39 ended up catching the attention of an MMA legend. Keeping an eye on last Saturday's spectacle, the two-time Ultimate champion, Amanda nunes he surrendered to the performances of the protagonists and made a point of praising his compatriots.

“What an incredible fight, girls. Congratulations, Marina Rodriguez”, wrote the ‘Leoa’, in her account on Twitter.

Candidates for a future title fight in the strawweight division (up to 52,1 kg.), Rodriguez and Dern left everything inside the octagon. In a clash of styles, striking won out. Despite a scare in the second round, Marina left the octagon with the unanimous decision victory of the judges.

With yet another positive result in the organization, the Rio Grande do Sul woman follows her dream of fighting for the title in the company. After passing Mackenzie, the fighter should take a place in the top 5 of the group led by Rose namajunas.

Beaten in the main fight, Dern was unable to extend his undefeated streak. Now, the jiu-jitsu legend has two negative results in 13 appearances as a professional in mixed martial arts.
